Kat N Ramen started with the idea of what could I draw that is creative when I was eating a bowl of ramen soup. The bowl had a cat face inside staring back at me while I finished slurping. That is when the moment of inspiration hit! The first thought, “How could I turn that cat into a character?”

Now that was a conundrum, a few sketches later on the tablet, the character Kat burst into being. I had another problem though, “Who would tease or get teased by Kat?” I sat looking at the bowl and a funny idea came to me. I drew a bowl of ramen with a face, thus the second character Ramen made herself known to the universe. From that moment I started to think about “How can I tease Kat about being chubby for eating too much?”
