In 2022 we all spend a lot of time on the internet with many things simultaneously interesting and distressing. Some of those interesting and distressing things can cause anxiety, that type of tightness and twitching your body does when starting a panic attack. I was looking around the web attempting to find different ways to reduce anxiety and stress where this video popped up in the search. The Wim Hof Method of breathing.

After watching the video the basics of the method seem to be 30 quick deep breaths (2-3 seconds in, 2-3 seconds out). Then on the last exhale do not inhale for 90 seconds. The quick deep breaths create a hyper oxygenation of the blood, along with the exhalation of CO2 carbon dioxide. Reducing the amount of CO2 in the blood allows the body to not have the reflex to try to breath.
